Christmas Lights Switch on 2022

Some would say this was silly but this was easily one of the TOP highlights of my career so far.

When I was a child, I always dreamed to going to an event where I could be within feet of someone famous. I always watched glamorous award shows and always saw myself being there, but never really knowing what I would be there for. Sometimes I was the photographer, sometimes I was there to interview celebs and sometimes I was just a lucky fan waiting in the wings for an autograph. The idea of working at an event like this was crazy but the dream has never left me.

I dreamt of one day being at a show as big as The Brits and working amongst all these amazing people.....I know this event was small in comparison to massive music award shows, but it made me have just a glimpse of what I want out of my photography career.

Five were one of my fave boybands when I was a teenager, and when I was given the opportunity to photograph them whilst they performed at the West Bromwich Lights Switch on 2022 then I jumped at the chance!!

My teen idols were within touching distance. I spoke to them behind the stage (I am really surprised with how professional I remained because inside I was like jelly) and I photographed them from the 'PRESS PIT" as they performed. Best moment of my career so far!! For so many reasons.....
